Q: What are your thoughts about playing Australia?
A:It’s a big game for both teams. We both lost our first games in the
competition and obviously both sides now want to win two games to keep their
hopes alive. We are going to approach it as a must-win game which it is.
Q: How challenging it is
to play Australia?
A:We enjoy testing ourselves against the best players in the world. We
have an inexperienced side and we are going to be testing ourselves against the
best. They have got some great players in their ranks and they play their
cricket hard.
Q: Are you aware of the
Diwali celebrations in India?
A:I’ve heard it is a festival of lights and that’s all I know. In the
context of the competition we are playing a big game tomorrow and we will just
concentrate what we will do on the pitch.
Q: Are you happy with the
pitches in India?
A:People want to see big scores. As is yet to happen in the competition,
it hasn’t quite happened because of pitches or bowlers bowling exceptionally
well. It was quite tricky when we played here last time. I am not sure what we
are going to get tomorrow. People want to see big scores and exciting games
hopefully remainder of the competition can produce that.
Q: Are you now fully fit?
A: I’m pleased with my recovery. I’m pushing it day by day and I’m happy with
the way it’s going, but as for tomorrow’s game I'm not quite there.
Q: Is your mind already
on the Ashes?
A:To be honest, I’m not looking too far ahead. We have a big game
tomorrow and that's where we are concentrating. Once the competition is out of
the way we will focus our attention on Ashes. |
